What is your service call fee, and does it go toward the repair?
Diagnostics are $79 for residential appliances and $149 for commercial equipment. That fee covers a full inspection and a written quote, and it is credited against your invoice the moment you approve the repair. If you decide not to go ahead, the diagnostic is all you pay.
How is the repair priced — do you charge by the hour?
We quote a flat price per repair, not an hourly rate. The quote covers parts and labour and is given to you before any work starts, so a job that turns out to be more difficult than expected does not change what you pay.
Do you offer same-day or emergency service?
Yes. We hold same-day slots every day of the week, and failures that cause damage or spoilage — a dead refrigerator, a leaking washer, no hot water — move to the front of the schedule. Calls booked before noon usually get an afternoon visit.
How long does a visit usually take?
We book two-hour arrival windows and the technician calls ahead when they are on the way. Most diagnoses take under an hour, and roughly four out of five repairs are finished on the first visit from parts carried on the van.
What happens if the part has to be ordered?
We book the return visit before leaving, so you are not chasing a schedule. The lead time is confirmed at the diagnosis — not after you have approved the work — and most common parts arrive within one to three business days.
Is there a warranty on parts and labour?
Every completed repair comes with a written warranty covering both the part we installed and the labour to install it. If the same fault returns within that period, the return visit is free. The terms are printed on your invoice rather than described verbally.
Which appliance brands do you service?
All major residential brands and most light commercial equipment — from Whirlpool, LG and Samsung through to Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele and Gaggenau. The full list, with a page for each brand, lives on our brands page.
Do you use genuine manufacturer parts?
Yes, and on luxury and built-in equipment we will not fit anything else. Where a manufacturer part is discontinued and a quality equivalent exists, we tell you which one we are proposing and why before it goes in.
Will you tell me if the appliance is not worth repairing?
Always. If the repair approaches half the cost of a comparable replacement, we say so and you pay the diagnostic only. We also check whether the fault falls under an extended manufacturer warranty — on sealed systems and compressors it often does, and that check can save you the whole repair.
Can you repair an appliance that is still under manufacturer warranty?
Technically yes, but check your warranty terms first: several manufacturers require an authorised servicer or the coverage is void. If yours does, we will tell you rather than take the job.
Do you work on gas appliances?
Yes. Gas ranges, cooktops, ovens, dryers, water heaters and furnaces are handled by technicians licensed for gas work in Illinois, with pressures verified using a manometer rather than judged by eye. If you can smell gas, turn the appliance off, ventilate and call us from outside the room.
Do you service commercial equipment?
Light commercial, yes — cafes, small restaurants, clubhouses, salons, schools and multi-unit buildings. Large-format production kitchens and walk-in refrigeration plant belong with a dedicated commercial contractor, and we say so on the phone rather than after a wasted visit. See who we work with.
Which areas do you cover?
Chicago plus Bolingbrook, Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Lombard, Naperville and Wheaton, and the communities inside the same daily routing across DuPage and Will County. The full list is on our service areas page.
How do I pay, and when?
On completion, once the appliance has been tested and you are satisfied it is working. We take card and bank transfer, and account customers managing multiple properties can be invoiced monthly instead.
